The 2011 Toyota RAV4 is just the same as the 2011 model. The only difference is that it now has more options even for the base model. It is a compact SUV with a car-like unibody construction, an increased ride height with an all wheel drive or AWD which makes it a crossover. It is also considered one of the fastest crossovers with its V6 engine available in some models. It has a third row seat which allows it to seat a total of 7 passengers. The 2011 RAV4 will have an electronic brake override system which was first introduced in the 2010 model.

Rav4 models have become very popular in recent years, and for good reason. They offer very classy bodies and interiors, along with more than capable 4 wheel drive systems. As a city vehicle they are well adept for parking in small places, and can hold their own out in the country as well. Consumers looking for an all around vehicle capable of handling poor driving conditions, and hauling a decent sized family should really enjoy owning one of these renowned Toyota vehicles.

In crash tests these vehicles received mixed reviews. In frontal crashes, drivers safety got a perfect score, while passenger safety only received 4 out of 5 stars. Side impact tests were rather similar as well, receiving mostly perfect scores.

2011 The Toyota Corolla Taillights

With over 30 million units sold across the world, Toyota's Corolla is one of the worlds' most popular and all time best selling cars. The Corolla may be unassuming in looks, but this auto has a ton to offer. It's extremely reliable, fuel efficient, and most important affordable. Given the economic climate, shoppers want a car that won't break down and cost them money and time spent on repairs. This competes in the affordable small car segment with the Kia Forte and Mazda3. As far as appearances are concerned, for 2010 it sports a bare bones and functional design with a more aggressive grille and headlights than previous year's models. It's not meant to be an exciting or flamboyant vehicle but a utilitarian one and the Corolla makes no pretenses, it's a no-frills vehicle that will last for many years to come.

Thus you will have to spend only less than thousand dollars for annual insurance payment. The rates put up by many popular websites for the annual costs estimation of Corolla insurance comes to about $968, which you can see is lesser compared to other luxury cars.

All Corolla's with the exception of the XRS trim are fueled with a V4 1.8 Liter engine that outputs 132 horsepower and 128 lb feet of torque. This car travels from zero to sixty in 10.1 seconds. Not super fast by any means, but then again, this car is not supposed to be a hot rod. The XRS version features a more powerful 2.4 Liter V4 with 148 horsepower. The cabin is well insulated and wind noise can hardly be heard, even when driving fast.

The Toyota Corolla has good looks and features and is mainly ideal for officer goers. And also due to its lowers price compared to other sedan based cars it is preferred more. Another important thing is that the Corolla has greater safety ratings than the manufacturer's Camry model. This makes the insurance companies give lesser rates.

Pickup trucks have always been a popular vehicle, especially in countries such as the United States, Australia and across Asia. This has been largely due to their durability and the fact they can be used for many different uses from the daily commute to transporting large and cumbersome items for you home or workplace. For the latter reason they are extremely popular within the building trade and with other manual workers such as plumbers and electricians. The Toyota Tundra has proven to be one of the most popular models of truck and is sold in its thousands around the globe. Due to its popularity there is a vast demand for well priced Toyota Tundra accessories. Fortunately, this high demand is met by a large number of different outlets.

Turn your car stereo on to allow the Toyota antenna to run up. Pull the mast from the power antenna while the motor is still running. Compare the length of the new antenna mast to the old one. If mast lengths match, install nylon cable into the antenna hole and turn the car stereo off. Feed the cable into power antenna motor assembly.

Retro styling. Much like Chrysler, Ford and GM which have each successfully introduced and sold retro styled vehicles, the FJ Cruiser's two tone body, restrained roofline, and painted black bumpers effectively combine the old model with the new.

the Toyota FJ Cruiser In Very quickly

Toyota's Australian arm said on Monday it will add the FJ Cruiser SUV to its range of models late in the first quarter of 2011. Australian buyers will get their first taste of the domestic market version with a pre-production model of the retro-styled SUV with the small reverse-opening rear doors at the Sydney International Motor Show on October 15.

Maybe it was the success of the Nissan Xterra or perhaps it was the desire to recapture past glory [or something in between] but Toyota's decision to build the FJ Cruiser may not have been an easy one. With a line up filled with various trucks and SUVs, the proposed FJ Cruiser would not only be competing against the Jeeps and Land Rovers of the world, but with some of its own models including the car based Highlander and the versatile, truck based 4Runner. Still, the model was thought to stand a chance for two reasons: the FJ Cruiser is a retro-styled vehicle taking its design cues from the FJ40 of the 1960s/1970s and for its 5 passenger seating capacity: just the right sized vehicle that consumers would want to take off roading.

VVT-i is a system that optimizes the valve sequencing for optimal airflow. Initially it has been applied to the input characteristics of airflow. The 'Dual' aspect now being offered adjusts the exhaust side of the equation. By enhancing the open period of the exhaust valve, Toyota optimizes the flow patterns to succeed in offering more power while using less fuel.

Toyota's growing popularity hasn't been without controversy. No, the automaker doesn't have much of a quality issue to contend with and, no Toyota isn't likely to begin losing market share anytime soon. Yet, there is one area where the Japanese automaker has a bit of a perception problem and that has to do with styling. Of course Toyota vehicles aren't ugly but there are few models being built today that are truly exciting. All that is now beginning to change as Toyota releases several head turning models including the latest rendition of its popular Camry sedan and one of its newest models, the FJ Cruiser. Keep reading and we'll take a glance at just how Toyota is breaking one mold by breaking new ground.

2011 the Toyota Camry for new years

Known as "America's best selling sedan" it enjoys the privilege of being one of the most trusted cars on the market. Toyota offers great fuel economy and solid performance in the Camry. Areas where the car excels is spaciousness on the inside, rather large engines, and optional hybrid engines that are already known for reliability. The fact there are no automatic transmissions offered on V6 models may be a turn off for some buyers.

The best-selling car in America for eight straight years, the Toyota Camry saw its reputation damaged by Toyota’s highly-publicized recalls for unintended acceleration (see our Toyota Recall page for details). Buyers still interested in a Camry will find a softly-tuned, comfortable commuter car, but we’ve seen reports of quality problems with the 2011 Toyota Camry.

Base-priced at $27,945 for the entry-level Avalon XL and $35,285 for the top-end Avalon Limited tested here, Toyota's flagship sedan is so competent, it's more than qualified to cannibalize sales of the ES 350 in the company's upscale Lexus division. The Avalon features a 111-inch wheelbase (1.7 inches longer than cousin Camry), a potent 268-horsepower 3.5-liter dual VVT-i 24-valve V6, and enough electronic advancements to satisfy premium buyers. The only place it misses true bliss is in interior quietness, which is compromised by wind noise at higher cruising speeds and by tire noise over rough surfaces.

Driving the Toyota Avalon gives you the feeling of driving a luxury car but without paying the luxury price. Starting at an MSRP of $32,445 for the basic package this car is an alternative to entry-level luxury cars without giving up the luxury feel. The Toyota Avalon is a 3.5 liter V6 6-speed automatic with solid performance and great reliability. With an EPA estimated 20/29 miles per gallon this car does well on fuel economy as well.

When Toyota first launched its luxury brand Lexus, the roles of each nameplate were clearly defined: Toyota offered vehicles for the average consumer, and Lexus catered to the more upscale buyer. Now, almost 20 years later, the lines between Toyota and Lexus have become less clear. Toyota's Avalon, a near-luxury, full-size sedan is a perfect example of that blur.

2010 Toyota FT-EV Electric Cute Car

Toyota FT-EV Electric Car 1Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. today announced that it will display the Toyota FT-EV concept on opening Media Day at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), confirming its plan to launch an urban commuter battery-electric vehicle (BEV) by 2012. This announcement, coupled with its compressed natural gas powered Camry Hybrid concept display at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show, signal Toyota’s intention to broaden the scope of its advanced alternative-fuel vehicle development.

Toyota FT-EV Electric Car 2“Now, more than ever, while we are so focused on the pressing issues of the moment, we cannot lose sight of our future,” said Irv Miller, TMS Group Vice President, Environmental and Public Affairs. “Nowhere is this more important than with our industry’s duty and commitment to provide true sustainable mobility with vehicles that significantly reduce fuel consumption, our carbon footprint and overall greenhouse gases.” The FT-EV concept shares its platform with the revolutionary-new iQ urban commuter vehicle. Already a huge hit in Japan, the iQ is lightweight and seats four passengers in comfort and security, while delivering exceptional mileage, sporty performance, unique refinements and a fun, youthful image.

Toyota FT-EV Electric Car 3Toyota’s FT-EV concept imagines an urban dweller, driving up to 50 miles between home, work and other forms of public transportation, such as high-speed rail. Although, for now, the FT-EV remains a pure concept, it represents a natural pairing of product strategies.

Toyota FT-EV Electric Car 4“Last summer’s four-dollar-a-gallon gasoline was no anomaly. It was a brief glimpse of our future,” said Miller. “We must address the inevitability of peak oil by developing vehicles powered by alternatives to liquid-oil fuel, as well as new concepts, like the iQ, that are lighter in weight and smaller in size. This kind of vehicle, electrified or not, is where our industry must focus its creativity.” Although BEVs and new smaller vehicles like the iQ will be a key component of Toyota’s sustainable mobility strategy, the conventional gas-electric hybrid, like the all new third-generation Prius, is considered Toyota’s long-term core powertrain technology.

Toyota FT-EV Electric Car 5Last year, Toyota announced that it planned to sell one million gas-electric hybrids per year sometime during the early 2010s. To accomplish this, Toyota will launch as many as 10 new hybrid models by the early 2010s, in various global markets. The new third-generation Toyota Prius and all new Lexus HS250h, both debuting in Detroit, are the first two examples of that effort. Also, last year, Toyota announced that it would roll-out a large number of plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHVs) to global lease-fleet customers in 2010. That schedule has been moved up.

Toyota FT-EV Electric Car 6Beginning in late 2009, Toyota will start global delivery of 500 Prius PHVs powered by lithium-ion batteries. Of these initial vehicles, 150 will be placed with U.S. lease-fleet customers. The first-generation lithium-ion batteries powering these PHVs will be built on an assembly line at Toyota’s PEVE (Panasonic EV Energy Company, LTD) battery plant, a joint-venture production facility in which Toyota owns 60 percent equity. During its development, the new Prius was designed and engineered to package either the lithium-ion battery pack with plug-in capability, or the nickel-metal hydride battery for the conventional gas-electric system. The 500 PHVs arriving globally in late 2009 will be used for market and engineering analysis. Lease–fleet customers will monitor the performance and durability of the first-generation lithium-ion battery, while offering real world feedback on how future customers might respond to the plug-in process. “Future customers will have high expectations for these emerging technologies. This Prius PHV fleet program is a key first step in confirming how and when we might bring large numbers of plug-in hybrids to global markets,” said Miller. “Our business is no longer about simply building and selling cars and trucks. It is about finding solutions to mobility challenges today and being prepared for more daunting challenges in our very near future.”
